At the Remedy Institute of Trichology and Herbal Wellness, our vision is to be a beacon of transformation, restoration, and education empowering beauty and wellness professionals with the tools, knowledge, and faith to restore health from the inside out. We envision a future where holistic care, herbal wisdom, and advanced trichology practices work in harmony to address the root causes of hair and scalp concerns.

Mission

Our mission is to equip current and aspiring professionals with a comprehensive, spirit-led education in trichology and herbal wellness. Through faith-based principles, scientific training, and hands-on experience, we aim to produce practitioners who not only treat symptoms but minister healing mind, body, and spirit. We are committed to raising the standard of care in natural hair and scalp health by restoring confidence, offering natural solutions, and preparing each graduate to stand as a vessel of healing in their community



Trichology is the scientific study of the hair and scalp, focusing on hair loss and scalp conditions. In this lesson, you will learn the fundamentals of trichology and its importance in diagnosing and treating hair loss. Trichologists are experts in identifying the causes of hair and scalp problems, providing solutions to improve the health and appearance of hair.


Scalp Disorders


Identify and classify various types of hair loss (alopecia)

- Understand the internal and external causes of hair loss.

- Distinguish between scarring and non-scarring alopecia.

- Recognize the emotional impact of hair loss on clients.

- Learn foundational methods for addressing and supporting hair loss clients.

Anatomy and Physiology 

- Identify and label the key anatomical parts of the hair and scalp.
- Understand the hair growth cycle and its three main phases.
- Explain the functions of the sebaceous glands, dermal papilla, and follicle.
- Recognize how internal and external factors affect hair growth.
- Describe how nutrition, stress, and health impact the scalp and hair condition.

Understanding Alopecia and Hair Loss

- Identify the major types of alopecia and their unique characteristics.

- Understand the underlying causes of different forms of alopecia.

- Differentiate between scarring and non-scarring alopecia.

- Recognize how genetics, hormones, lifestyle, and autoimmune disorders contribute to hair loss.

- Equip trichologists with diagnostic observation tools within their professional scope.

About The Founders



With years of dedicated experience in Hair Loss and Trichology, Sharon and Shanese have cultivated a profound understanding of hair and scalp health. Our journey began with a fascination for the intricate science behind hair growth and scalp care, leading us to pursue advanced studies and certifications in the field. Throughout our career, We have had the privilege to work with a diverse clientele, addressing complex hair loss issues and providing holistic, evidence-based treatments that improve not only the condition of hair but also the well-being of our clients.

Our passion for Trichology is deeply intertwined with our commitment to education and empowerment. As experienced NC Board of Cosmetic Arts Licensed educator, in combined with advance studies in Trichology, we have developed a comprehensive curriculum for the "Certified Trichologist and Holistic Practitioner" course that reflects the most current practices and research. The joy we find in nurturing the next generation of Trichologists is immeasurable. By sharing our knowledge and experiences, we aim to inspire and equip our students with the tools they need to excel in this rewarding field and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those suffering from hair loss.
